Shelby is committed to breaking the stigma around mental health, especially for men, and empowering clients to prioritize their emotional well-being. Blending psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Shelby addresses immediate challenges and supports lasting growth. Shelby builds trust and helps clients manage anxiety, depression, grief, anger, life transitions, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. He offers individualized therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to each client's unique needs. Outside of work, Shelby finds joy in creative and physical pursuits— listening to music, making music, and staying active at the gym.
